Welcome to Two2Tango Sexcapades, the place on our blog where I will be sharing our experience as we make our way through a Sex Bucket List along with four other adventurous couples! (Along; as in doing these things as separate couples around the same time, not all together. Unfortunately despite my best efforts I am apparently not sexy enough to convince anyone else for that.) The sex bucket list originated from an article in the Huffington Post, but we’re adapting it very slightly only to ensure we don’t cause any marital problems, since of course here at Two2Tango we’re all about making relationships better hehe.
Here is how it works: each month, each of the couples is going to complete the same activity from the sex bucket list. Afterwards, I’ll be blogging everyone’s experiences–what worked, didn’t work, what they liked, didn’t like, etc. etc. Each individual will rate the activity 1-5 stars and then the geek in me will calculate a bunch of averages. I’ll give you average by couple, gender and overall rating and hopefully, this should give you a sense of whether the sex bucket list item is something you might be interested in trying! We’ll let you know what is coming up next so that you can join along if you are up for it. And of course, be sure to share your experiences if you do!
Why would anyone in their right mind choose to follow along, let along share their experiences with us? We know some partners will be easier to convince than others! Did you know research shows that having more sex is directly correlated to higher levels of satisfaction in relationships? It goes without saying that happier relationships contribute to happier lives. We’ve also learned that slight mismatches in partner libido is very common, and that often there are things one partner would like to try but is too shy to suggest. We’re here to blast the taboo away and give you an excuse to suggest and try something new. Go right ahead and blame it on us!
Since you’re going to be hearing a lot more intimate detail about their sex lives, I’ll give you a super quick intro to our awesome couples!
Couple 1: married 4 years, 0 children. Sexual Status: Fiercely competitive and looking forward to completing every item on this list, and doing bonus tasks if possible.
Couple 2: married 6 years, 3 children. Sexual Status: Recently had a baby and getting back into things. Up for a challenge and open-minded. Also, husband doesn’t actually know he is participating in this challenge, he just thinks his wife has all of a sudden gotten really horny. Great news for him!
Couple 3: married 11 years, 2 children. Sexual status: Happy with the frequency of sex but looking forward to spicing things up a bit. Husband is WAY more excited about this than wife.
Couple 4: married 5 years, 1 child. Sexual status: Very open sexually and yawning at the look of this list. Amy couldn’t you come up with something more challenging?
Couple 5: married 13 years, 4 children. Sexual status: Lots of sex, lots of good sex. She would like a bit more and is looking forward to forcing him to try new things. He’s happy with the status quo and wants to know how he gets dragged into these things. Awww, Poor guy! Don’t you feel bad for him?
So without further ado, here is the un-ordered sex bucket list that is going to keep us very, AHEM, busy for the foreseeable future.
